Easter Time!

It was nice being back in South Africa just in time to celebrate Easter with my family. We had a nice Easter meal with all the staff, students, and short-term visitors complete with an Easter bunny cake. Due to heavy rains we had to move the Easter egg hunt inside. The kids didn't seem to mind as long as they got their candy!

And we had to dress in our lovely Easter attire a few days later to get a nice outside family photo! Hope all of you also had a nice Easter remembering how our awesome God displayed His great love for us!

Brian's wedding was Saturday. By the time it came, Joshua's jetlag had caught up to him! He wouldn't say this of course (he blamed it on an earache) but he was exhausted and did not want to walk down the aisle. I convinced him otherwise, however, he absolutely refused the pictures afterwards. He did enjoy the cake at the reception. We attended an informal reception at the bride's parent's house and he thoroughly enjoyed the bounce house (and strangely enough that earache seemed all cleared up at this point)! I guess you never know how kids are going to do in weddings! A bit nerve racking!

A Happy Reunion

This picture was taken the day Joshua and I left for the states and Emma Grace was not cooperating! Jeremy's brother, Zach, stayed with us for a few days on his way back to the states. It was great to see him again. Zach, his wife, Anneke, and their daughter, Arielle, have been living in Zambia working with an organization called FCE. Now they are in the states awaiting the arrival of their second baby (and our second niece!) and taking a 6 month sabbatical. We can't wait to see the rest of the family again (Arielle was 2 weeks old the last time we saw her and Anneke - she's a year and a half now!) and meet the new baby!

3 Outiniqua - Our New House

Well, we moved into our new house! I'm finally able to post pictures. The picture icon has been non-existent until now so sorry for the delay. I will post pictures of the inside of the house as soon as I get all my artwork up on the walls! :) We are loving all the windows and double doors in the front of the house. The kids can run in and out as they please playing. And of course no South African home would be complete without a proper gate to lock and a security system.

I Cut It!

Well, last Sunday night I finally cut Emma Grace's hair! I guess I didn't do it fast enough because Joshua once again took scissors to her hair! After that I couldn't wait any longer. I think it turned out pretty good. She looks older to me but still my cute little girl! Here's pictures of the new do!
